Mindlock — The Apartment is a bizarre and not terribly well-executed little mindtrip exploring the fuzzy boundaries between reality, logic and self-realisation. The story starts when the main character Colin wakes up one day to find that his apartment door has vanished. What begins as a normal day gradually descends into a series of nightmarish happenings, leaving his apartment feeling like a maze both a physical space and a mental one.

Colin is doing his best to make his way through this weird and flipped-upside-down world, and as players help him do that, they will likely need to do some serious thinking and perhaps even a little reflecting on the real world around them. Changing all the time, the apartment is filled with strange messages, creepy dolls and incomprehensible symbols. With each new room, or hallway, comes another puzzle that tests the players nerve and their mechanical problem-solving skills. But these puzzles are not just random they tie into Colin’s fears and lost memories.

Each item and each cryptic note in the apartment appears to echo aspects of Colin’s internal fights. With Mindlock — The Apartment, your objective is more than just solving puzzles; you must also put together Colin’s shattered reality and determine why he’s trapped in this unending nightmare. The story is told in over four hours’ worth of dialogue, all of which is spoken by professional voice actors who help give life to the strange characters Colin meets.
