Loco Motive Overview

In Loco Motive, players board a train called the Reuss Express, and a murder happens, with our hero to be found as the only suspect. He’ll have to prove his innocence without breaking the law and first discover who the real murderer is aboard the big ship. That passage has puzzles; there are interactive objects and mechanisms and dialogues with secondary characters.

The inventory is called up by moving the cursor to the top of the screen. You can combine items in it. The gameplay dial here is old-school. This is all achieved by the hero wandering about the place, looking around, talking to NPCs, picking up this and that thing here and there, then equipping them on various objects (and using them), and solving puzzles. His entire movements are controllable with the mouse only.

This is a plot with detective-comedy. Arthur Ackerman is Lady Unterwald’s personal attorney. There lived an eccentric heiress of a prestigious railway company who had gone around one day to inform the family about the will. She hosted an event aboard the luxurious passenger train Reuss Express. The main character also got invited there to sign a legal change in her file. But then there’s a murder, and our hero is suddenly the prime suspect. And now has to do his own detective work.
